A roof restoration can be a great way to restore and improve the condition of your roof while extending its lifespan. Generally, our roof restoration is broken down into three stages; cleaning, repairing, and repainting. Just like any painting job, the preparation of the roof is one of the most crucial stages of the process. This involves using very high-pressure water to remove dirt, moss and lichen to reduce the likeliness of your roofs paint from peeling and flaking. Next, the ridge caps and tiles are attended to. We undertake all necessary roof restoration repair work including re-bedding and re-pointing your ridge caps, tile replacements where required and tile repair and relocation to gutter line where needed. Finally, your roof is painted with a three-coat process including a primer to seal roof tiles or if required a Galvanized Metal Primer to seal the roof iron. We then apply 2 top coats from your choice of paint from Dulux or Acryloc of standard roof coating or heat reflective roof paint (coating).

ColourBond Iron

As with any type of roof, with time your roof will eventually start to lose it’s colour. However, thankfully re-painting a ColourBond roof is significantly cheaper than re-roofing and allows better results to be achieved. This is particularly true with heat reflective roofing coatings.

Concrete Tile

Over time, concrete tiles may eventually crack, either fully or with corner chips. They will also lose their original coating and can become brittle with weathering. As a result, a concrete tile roof will likely require ridge cap repairs as the roof has moved, expanded and contracted over time which causes the original bedding material, to crack, or even to be fully eroded. A Concrete tile roof restoration repairs all of the above problems and will add years to the life to your roof transforming the look and feel of your home.
